About Me

My name is Leah

I am passionate about social impact, women's empowerment, health + wellness, and inclusive design
Hi! I’m Leah Neustedter, a UX/Product Designer passionate about creating intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital experiences. I hold a B.S. in User Experience Design from Purdue University- a hands-on, project-focused program that sets me apart in the field. Over four years, I completed eight industry-sponsored projects with companies like Advent Health, Stryker, and Cerner, gaining real-world experience from day one. Graduating with a 3.97 GPA and minors in psychology and communications, I have a unique blend of practical UX skills and interdisciplinary knowledge that gives me a distinct edge as a designer.

I’ve had the opportunity to work for and with diverse organizations including IBM, Garmin, Microsoft, and Stryker. These experiences have shaped my design philosophy, equipping me with a broad set of skills and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles. Throughout my career, I’ve led projects across a variety of industries—from healthcare and fitness to e-commerce and enterprise solutions. My role as a UX designer is driven by my belief in ethical design, social impact, and inclusivity. I design for humans—keeping accessibility and empathy at the core of my work. Whether I’m leading design workshops at IBM or developing feature prototypes at Garmin, my goal is always to create seamless, user-centric solutions that bridge the gap between business objectives and user needs.

One area I’m particularly passionate about is the visual design and UI side of UX. I thrive on bringing aesthetics into my work, ensuring that the interfaces I design are not only functional but also visually engaging and cohesive, enhancing the overall user experience.

One of the projects I'm most proud of is my Senior UX Capstone Project, where I explored designing digital solutions for women’s health. This project deepened my interest in creating experiences that are not only usable but that also have a positive impact on people's lives. I am particularly passionate about designing for wellness, fitness, and wearables—industries where technology and human-centered design can truly transform lives.

I approach every project with a focus on research, iteration, and collaboration. I thrive in environments where I can work cross-functionally with stakeholders, developers, and other designers to build products that balance aesthetics, functionality, and impact. I believe that design is about more than just solving problems—it’s about creating experiences that make a real difference.

If you're looking for a designer who is not only skilled in creating beautiful, functional interfaces but also passionate about making a positive impact through design, let’s connect!

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I enjoy running marathons, hiking, and baking. I’m an official product tester for Nike running shoes and enjoy being involved in design communities—both in my personal and professional life.

I’m a member of Garmin’s Women’s Business Forum and the Women at IBM community, and I also design for nonprofit organizations like the Salvation Army and Hop on A Cure ALS Foundation.

Being a runner myself, I especially enjoy projects that intersect with health and fitness, where I can apply my passion for movement and wellness in meaningful ways.
